Nazca Lines Aerial

Aerials of the Nazca lines, only visible from the air.  Perfect geometric designs such as triangles and rectangles and straight lines running for several kilometers across the desert.  Some are animal shapes are 90 to 180 meters long. It is believed they were made by the Nazca and Paracas cultures during the period between 900 BC and 600 AD.  Maria Reiche, a German mathematician who spent much of her life studying the lines considers the lines to be an astronomical calendar for agricultural purposes.
