A bachelor band of wild horses watches out for the harem stallion to wander from protecting mares, vying for the opportunity to steal a mare in Steens Mountain Oregon. In the hierarchy of the social order of horses, the male families are comprised of young studs developing confidence and older horses that can no longer keep a mare.
