School children parade through the courtyard at Teotihuacan Aztec site..Teotihuacan was Mexico's biggest ancient city and pre-Hispanic empire with perhaps 200,000 people at its peak. A grid plan was used--centuries after its fall; it was still a pilgrimage site for Aztec royalty who believed the dogs had sacrificed themselves here to start the sun moving.
