Mountain Goat in Glacier Parking Lot

Back to Search Results

A mountain goat crosses a parking lot at Logan Pass on Going to the Sun Road in Glacier National Park. Goats, deer and other wildlife have become addicted to the glycol in antifreeze and lick the pavement for the sweet taste. It is poisonous to their systems and eventually kills them. Tourists were charmed by the tame behavior of the wildlife. I followed the animal and saw it collapse into the bushes panting much like a drug addict.
