Inventor and Hand- Made Rake

Earl Allen, 81, makes the Allen 8-Tooth Hay Rake in the Adirondacks. It takes six steps to make one tooth. His uncle fashioned machinery to make each piece--and Earl is hoping his nephew will pick up the craft. He remembers driving into town in a Model A filled with the rakes that sold for 50 cents. He makes far fewer today and they now sell for $25.
