Dia de los Muertos Harvest

Families work at sunrise to pick flowers for Day of the Dead celebration under smoking volcano, Popocatepetl in Mexico. The pickers harvest zempazuchitl and other flowers for 8 pesos for a Maleta.<br />
The woman worker has 25 grandchildren and sells snow cones and fried snacks in Atlixco in other seasons. <br />
Atlixco is the flower capital of Mexico; roses and gladiolas are exported throughout the world from this Puebla State. Fields are full of yellow and red flowers picked to decorate alters and graves for the celebration.
