Wind Swept Landscape

Wind eroded sandstone crests above a 3,000 foot escarpment of the Vermilion Cliffs overlooking the Grand Canyon in northern Arizona. Vast scale makes the Colorado River's down-cutting appear as a series of narrow, winding incisions near Marble Canyon. The remote 293,000 acre monument in the Colorado Plateau features a majestic grand terrace rising at the edge of the Paria Plateau.
