Feeding Horses

Rancher Heidi Redd feeds her horses before rounding them up to move cattle on the Dugout Ranch. Surrounded by park and public land, the Dugout Ranch is a 5,200 acre prime piece of ranch land owned by the Nature Conservancy. Ancestral Puebloan rock art and dwellings are found through out the ranch. The property is used for ecological research, biological management, and natural and cultural history interpretation. It is being maintained as an economically viable and ecologically sustainable cattle ranching operation.
