Fish farm in Bay D'Espoir. These fish are steelhead trout, but were marketed as Salmon. There were 8 communities on Long Island Newfoundland and now there is only one left--Gaultois nwfld is a town you can only reach by boat--no cars. It used to be a thriving community of fishermen. Now I'm in a boat with two of the surviving 8 fishermen in the last town on this island trying to eke a living out of lobstering. Gaultois is bordered by Bay D'espoir (Bay of Hope) named for it's abundant fishing. The locals now call this "Bay Despair."
