Cow Poke With Pet Rooster

Jeffrey Knox holds a rooster that he snared in the hayloft of his county farm in Gold Beach, Oregon. He and his sister raised chickens and rabbits to show at the Curry County 4-H Fair. County fairs originated in England in the 1600s, when once a year agrarian people gathered to share information. These traditions were continued in rural America but today less than 2 percent of families live on farms.
