Skiing over Rocks

A skier walks over exposed rocksi area in the Alps just outside Ortisei, Italy, in the Val Gardena area of the Dolomites. Usually this area has a lot more snow but temperatures in the Alps are warming. There are 1200 planes that fly over this pass every day. According to helicopter pilots recording data, it's not the heat of their engines, but the jet trails they leave, affect the sun hitting the landscape and warm the area by at least 1 degree celsius.<br />
