Rod Flynn and Lavern Beier of Fish and Game are doing brown bear research in the Unuk River. With a foot snare, they captured a 600 pound 15 or 16 yr old male in Kingsbury Creek. It was in a precarious position over the creek and they had to make a nest of branches so he wouldn't fall when waking.
