Three Foals Run Through Tall Grass

Three spirited foals chase through high grass in the early morning.
They are part of the Gila herd saved by Karen Sussman with International Society for the Protection of Mustangs and Burros.
The herd was rescued off land in Arizona. They are bay colored with a dark mane and shorter broom tail. They other distinctive markings are small stripes on the lower legs and a dark dorsal stripe.

They are part of the Gila herd saved by Karen Sussman with International Society for the Protection of Mustangs and Burros.
The herd was rescued off land in Arizona. They are bay colored with a dark mane and shorter broom tail. They other distinctive markings are small stripes on the lower legs and a dark dorsal stripe.
The original 31 horses were gathered in 1999 the BLM. Local ranchers recall the horses hiding in the Salt Cedar in 1904. They have been tested genetically and are remnants of the horses from the Spanish conquistadors.
